Chris Asselstine
Chris is the owner and president of Parkwood, He is a hard working father of three who has 35 years of experience in the customs field. He completed his CSCB in 1984 and worked as a Senior Manager for 11 years. In 1995 Chris decided to create a brokerage of his own, Parkwood & Cavanaugh. He has taken Parkwood and turned it into the small yet successful business it is today with the help of his employees. He has extensive experience and knowledge about the customs field.

Kenwin Richards
Ken is our Senior Consultant and Co-President, and a good family friend. Ken has over 50 years of customs experience, he is a pro at what he does. He oversees all of the Refunds and Drawbacks for Clients. Ken owns his own consulting business with which he does Refunds and Drawbacks when necessary.

Cody Asselstine
Cody's journey with Parkwood began at a young age, as he started working with the company when he was only 10 years old. During his PA days and reading breaks, he would spend time in the office with Chris, assisting with tasks such as answering phones or filing. After completing high school, Cody pursued a career in the customs field and enrolled in the Customs Border Security program at Fleming College. He later expanded his knowledge by studying International Business and graduated in 2014.
Upon his return to Parkwood, Cody brought his expertise and knowledge with him and started working as a Junior Rater. He gradually worked his way up the ranks and is now the owner of the business, as well as the Chief Financial and Operations Officer. In this role, Cody is responsible for overseeing various operational tasks, including handling the company's AP/AR responsibilities.
Recently, Cody passed the Canadian customs broker licensing exam, which is the highest achievement a customs broker can attain. This accomplishment is a testament to Cody's hard work, dedication, and expertise in the customs field. -
Christa Asselstine
Christa Asselstine is the oldest daughter of Chris and an integral part of Parkwood. She has been actively involved in the company since the age of 14, starting with part-time work. Christa's dedication and passion for the business led her to pursue higher education, and in 2009, she graduated with honors from Laurentian University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. To further enhance her knowledge in the field of business, she also obtained a Business Certificate from Georgian College in Barrie, where she specialized in International Business studies.
In August 2012, Christa joined Parkwood & Cavanaugh on a more permanent basis, utilizing her expertise in customs processes. With her extensive experience and insights gained over the years, she has become well-versed in managing revisions and amendments for imported shipments into Canada, while also nurturing strong client relationships. Not only does Christa co-own the business, but she also serves as the compliance officer, ensuring that all operations adhere to relevant regulations and requirements. Her commitment to compliance is further reinforced by her possession of a customs license, which she has held for over a decade. Her profound knowledge and expertise in the customs field span several decades, making her an invaluable asset to the company.
With Christa's multifaceted role as an owner, compliance officer, and customs expert, she plays a vital role in driving the success and growth of Parkwood. Her relentless dedication and extensive experience continue to contribute to the company's thriving operations in the customs industry. -
Maureen Humphrey
Maureen has been with Parkwood since the day it opened in 1995. She is the voice behind the business, between 9 - 5 she will generally be the one answering the phones. Maureen has been in the business for over 35 years. She is a Senior Rater and she is very knowledgeable and efficient at what she does.

Aaron Powell
Aaron joined Parkwood and Cavanaugh in 2018 after arriving in Canada from Scotland. Aaron holds a diploma in both Civil and Mechanical Engineering. He brings a strong work ethic and attention to detail after serving in the British military for more than 5 years. Since joining Parkwood and Cavanaugh, he has enrolled in the Canada Customs Specialist Course (CCS) and has gained an extensive depth of knowledge in the customs field.

Brandon Meeks
Brandon has been an integral part of the customs industry since his graduation from the esteemed Customs/Border Services program at Sir Sandford Fleming College in 2012. With a decade of experience, Brandon has established himself as a seasoned professional. He has not only achieved his prestigious CCS designation but has also recently passed the rigorous customs broker licensing exam, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
Throughout his dynamic career, Brandon has garnered invaluable experience handling a diverse range of products, including live animals, food, medication, apparel, machinery, and everything in between. His comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and procedures enables him to navigate complex challenges with finesse and efficiency. Brandon's exemplary track record and exceptional skills make him a trusted expert in the customs field. With his comprehensive understanding of customs regulations and commitment to excellence, he consistently ensures seamless operations and compliance for his clients.
